World Heads Up Championships Quarter Final, 2010 Irish Open Announced + more

whupc World Heads Up Poker Championship Quarter Finals
We are down to the final 8 players in the World Heads Up Poker Championships at the Vic in London. Yesterday more big names fell by the wayside including Paul Zimbler, Sorel Mizzi and Keith Hawkins. There are some really interesting potential champions remaining in the field, no doubt the favourite is heads up specialist Dario Minieri, but there is GUKPT heads up runner up Richard Gryko, GUKPT champion Tony Cascarino, Vic regular Bambos Xanthos and hyper aggressive online star Laurence Houghton still left in the field:

PaddyPower Launch 2010 Irish Open
After the success of their Irish Winter Festival last week, Paddy Power Poker have unveiled early details about the 2010 Irish Open. The event will take place between April 2nd and 5th next year and the buy-in is €3,200+€300.irish open poker

They will once again include the very popular €100,000 Sole Survivor promotion, which will see all Paddy Power Qualifiers also compete in a huge last longer bet, where the last Paddy standing will win a €100,000 sponsorship package. You can qualify for as little as $0.50, the first weekly Super Satellites will take place on Sunday November 1st at 7.30pm, with buy-in set at $250 + $18 and one Irish Open 2010 package won for every $7,200 in the prizepool

London Poker Circuit Super Stack Returns
Following a good start to their relaunch last weekend, the London Poker Circuit have announced the return of their Super Stack Event. On the weekend of December 4th-6th, it will be at the new and more affordable buy-in of £400+£40 with a 15,000 starting stack and a 40 minute clock. It's at the new home of the Sportsman Casino, which has a capacity for 260 players. There will be satellites running soon at LCI casinos and at 888 Poker.
