thomas rolfe A player from Nottingham has taken down one of the biggest Irish poker events of the year. 22 year old Thomas Rolfe took down the Ladbrokes Poker Irish Poker Festival in Killarney over the weekend, netting himself €100,000 in the process after defeating local boy Emmet Gough. Over 750 players took part in the four day festival, which is amazing when you consider than more than 700 were in London for the EPT and more than 300 in Nottingham for the DTD deep stack.

Rolfe said: "I'm really pleased to have won this event. It's a big stepping stone and a chance to invest in a new house." He won his place in a rake race on the firm's site, added to

his joy by securing the first Ladbrokes Poker Cruise IV package.

Kate McLennan, Head of Poker, said "This tournament has once again been a huge success and is a fitting place to launch the poker cruise. It's nice to see familiar faces and also welcome some first-timers.

"We're already planning next year's Irish event, though I think it's going to take 12 months to recover from the weekend's festival!"

The Ladbrokes Poker Cruise IV, will be one of the first voyages for the 'Oasis of the Seas' and is scheduled to depart on January 22nd, 2011 for nine days around the Caribbean taking in popular holiday destinations including Jamaica and Cozumel. Satellites for this popular event will run exclusively on Ladbrokes Poker.

We high carded for $10000 worth of expenses. I ended up having to pay $1750 for Texas tikets. Only a $500 loser on the trip. Skill game.
