Big Names Confirm for EPT London
As of today, all eyes are on the UK for a month of elite world poker, and Pokerstars are rightly getting excited about EPT London. A host of big names have confirmed for the event including world champion Peter Eastgate, former world champions Joe Hachem, Chris Moneymaker, Greg Raymer as well as Dennis Phillips, Daniel Negreanu, Vanessa Rousso and Barry Greenstein. Joe Cada, Eric Buchman and Kevin Schaffel, all members of the November Nine, are also expected to be there. The hugely expanded side event schedule includes a £20k high roller event, £1k six max and the first-ever £2k European 8-Game

Championship.

PKR Heads Up Grand Slam Draw Announced durrrr

The first ever PKR Heads Up Grand Slam, which will see some of the best players in the world compete in heads up battle for a $100,000 first prize, have unveiled the first round draw. A great all british match is made in the form of John Tabatabai vs the Devilfish and most of the poker world are talking about a match that could be. Tom Dwan takes on prolific heads up tournament player John Duthie and Luke Schwartz takes on WPT Champ Yevgeniy Timoshenko. Should both online stars succeed, they will face each other in the next round. Schwartz has been calling out Dwan for some time now and this, coupled with the Late Night Poker heat between Andrew Feldman and Luke Schwartz, could be essential viewing and make Fullflush a household name on TV poker.

Matchroom Managing Director Eddie Hearn commented "There are some really exciting clashes lined up for the first round of the PKR Heads Up Grand Slam, but it's also interesting to see what could happen as the tournament develops. In the top half of the draw, if Annette can overcome Ian Frazer and John Tabatabai can defeat the Devilfish, then they could meet in the second round for a rematch of the 2007 WSOPE final. The winner could face WSOP Champ Peter Eastgate in the quarter finals whilst Tony G and Ilari 'Ziigimund' Sahamies could face off in the other quarter final. In the bottom half, Phil Laak or James Sudworth could face a tough test in the second round against Ivan Demidov, and Full Flush and Durrrr may well meet in the semis. The connotations are endless but each match will carry plenty of drama."
