world open PartyPoker World Open V Goes Triple Stack
Some major changes afoot for the 5th outing of the televised tournament the Party Poker World Open, which has been confirmed for October 11th to 15th in London. The first change is that the action is now at the Palm Beach Casino in Mayfair, rather than the Maidstone TV studio. In clear recognition of audience demand, the stacks have now been tripled to show more deep stack play and finally, 8 players will play the heats and 7 will play the final, instead of 6 seater tables. The buy in is $10,000 and 48 players including Tom 'durrrr' Dwan,

Luke 'Fullflush' Schwartz and James Akenhead are pencilled in to play.

Eddie Hearn, Director of Matchroom Sport said: "Poker players have been crying out for a deeper stack TV tournament and now they've got their wish. With such a strong structure we will be hand-picking a dream line-up for the PartyPoker.com World Open V. We are also delighted to announce that it will be held at the Palm Beach Casino in the heart of Mayfair. With the change in structure and this amazing venue, the players are in for a real treat - now it's over to them to show the world just what they can do."

You too can play in these prestigious event by winning a $13,000 package on Party Poker in the Sunday $650+$50 satellites at 14:15. Smaller feeders are available throughout the week and don't forget when you sign up to Party Poker via UK Pokernews, you can get a free no deposit bonus of $50.

The brand new and last minute addition to the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour Calendar begins today, as the Summer Series goes to Coventry. Sun 30 Aug 4.00 pm £ 100 + 11 No Limit Hold'em – Bounty

APAT World Championship of Amateur Pokerapat
Another low buy-in, awesome value event takes place on the bank holiday weekend, this time at Dusk Till Dawn, who are hosting the APAT World Championship of Amateur Poker. We high carded for $10000 worth of expenses. I ended up having to pay $1750 for Texas tikets. Only a $500 loser on the trip. Skill game.
