UK PokerNews is delighted to announced that we have extended our borders a little and have become UK & Ireland PokerNews. Although the only changes you will see to the format of the site are on the header, where it now displays PokerNews: United Kingdom and Ireland you will start to see more articles featuring Irish players and tournaments taking place on the Emerald Isle.
Although I have never visited Ireland I was very close to an Irish community from the ages of 14-25 so Ireland will always have a special place in my heart and I am really looking forward to writing about the poker exploits of those who call our latest edition to the PokerNews stable home.
Coincidently Ireland will be featuring quite highly over the next few days as the PokerStars UK Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT) has dropped anchor in Galway and along with the Super Poker Event of Europe taking place at the end of the month, it should be an exciting time for Irish poker.
With this announcement we are also changing the Best of British feature we planned to run to now cover Eire so it has had a slight name change to Best of the British Isles instead. So if you are or know of a talented Irish poker player who does not receive the recognition you think they deserve get in touch with us here at UK & Ireland PokerNews and we will change that!
