The Amateur Poker Association and Tour (APAT) have joined forces with the world's biggest online poker site PokerStars for their sixth season of their popular National League.
The league is due to run on 15 match days between Mar. 11 and Jun. 17 and will see players from 12 regions battle it out at the felt in a $10+$1 No Limit Hold'em deepstack tournament that sees players start with 5,000 chips and a 15-minute clock.
In addition to the prize money generated through entry fees to each tournament players will also be able to win seats to a number of UKIPT events, the PokerStars Sunday Million and PokerStars Sunday kickoff seats. There will also be APAT National Ranking Points available to the leading individual performers, many of whom will be challenging for places in the English, Scottish, Welsh and Irish International squads for the fifth annual World Championship of Amateur Poker (WCOAP) that is due to take place at the fantastic Dusk Till Dawn poker club later this year.
Players can represent the following regions:
Prizes will be awarded to the three best performing members of the winning, runner-up and third place teams with the booty being UKIPT seats, Sunday Million and Sunday Kickoff tickets respectively.
The best performing individual overall will win a UKIPT seat, runner-up a Sunday Million ticket and the third best a Sunday Kickoff ticket. Also, the best performing English, Welsh, Irish and Scottish players will be guaranteed their place in their national teams for the WCOAP later in the year.
