Philip Hepburn Wins DTD 250 Six Max

Dusk Till Dawn Six Max

The excellent Dusk Till Dawn poker club hosted the 250 Six Max tournament again this weekend and it continues to be a roaring success. A total of 121 players paid the £250+£30 entry fee which created a prize pool of £30,250, completely smashing the £25,000 guarantee.

The prize pool was shared out amongst the final two tables so spare a thought for DTD regular Stacy Coore who proved that the number 13 really is unlucky for some as that was Coore's finishing position, the exact money bubble.

Coore's elimination meant that the surviving 12 players had each locked up at least £423.50 for their efforts and were only 11 players away from a £10,587.50 pay out. One by one the players were sent to the cashier's cage to pick up their winning after losing their stacks and when Duncan Mclellan busted out in seventh place the final table was set.

The final table was the home to a great mixture of players from the seasoned veteran that is Mickey Wernick to DTD-regulars Sunil Mistri and Scott Eustace and rank amateurs such as Van Tuan Phan. As you would expect from a short-handed tournament the action was fast, furious and intense and it made fantastic viewing on the live stream, a new feature Dusk Till Dawn seem to be running on all their major tournaments.

But like in all poker tournaments there can only be one winner and that honour went to Philip Hepburn after he defeated Van Tuan Phan heads-up for the title and the lion's share of the prizepool.
