Nicky Evans and Tom Middleton Clean Up At Fallsview Poker Classic

The Fallsview Poker Classic ran between Feb. 8-13 at the Fallsview Casino Resort in Niagra Falls where there were events that carried a combined guarantee of $2.4 million. But what has a poker festival in Niagra Falls got to do with UK PokerNews we hear you ask, everything actually because two of our heroes walked away with the top honours in the $2,500 and $5,000 events!

Nicky Evans, the Lock Poker Pro, was tweeting throughout the $2,500 buy-in event but by far the best tweet was this one here informing his 1,900+ followers that he had taken down the tournament!

Like any true poker professional Evans then entered the $5,000 event immediately and found himself on less than ideal starting table that was the home to some of the best online poker tournament players in the world.

Evans managed to navigate through the field and was going great guns until he clashed with Tom "hitthehole" Middleton who seems to be in the form of his life right now. You may recall Middleton won the $1,000 Six Max event at the recent Aussie Millions well now he has added another title to his already impressive CV after he took down the $5,000 event at the Fallsview Poker Classic.

Middleton's own Twitter account was void of many details but Evans was railing him and keeping everyone informed on how the Leeds lad was getting on. Although reports are scarce it appears from Evans' tweets that Middleton and his heads-up opponent made a deal with each of them getting $193,000 and them playing out for the title and the trophy, which ultimately ended up on Middleton's possession!

A massive congratulations from everyone at UK PokerNews to Evans and Middleton!
