Stuart Rutter is known for terrorising fellow poker players at the virtual and live but now he will be spending some time helping them after making his début as an analyst on Sky Poker's televised show on Thursday night. Rutter joined Sky Poker's resident pro Julian Thew and Ryan Spittles in the booth for the £15,000 Bounty Hunter where he gave detailed analysis of the action taking place for viewers of Sky channel 865.
Rutter, who is a G Casino sponsored pro, is a cash game specialist who also has some solid results in the live tournament arena. The Cambridge mathematics graduate has more than $770,000 in live tournament winnings, helped by his third place finish in the $5,000 No Limit Hold'em Shootout at the 2010 World Series of Poker ($179,617), a third place finish in the €2,850 Helsinki Freezeout in 2010 (€58,995) and an outright win in the 2010 GUKPT Coventry Main Event (£41,910) an event that he finished fifth in this year.
The Head of Sky Poker TV, Claire Cook, is delighted to have acquired the analytical talents of Rutter saying of him, "Stuart's addition to the Sky Poker analyst team gives you some idea of the ambition we have in the industry. We're all set to relaunch the channel this February including a greater variety of shows to cover all levels of poker ability. Stuart is just one of a handful of successful British poker players who will now appear on your screens to bring you top poker tips and advice. He's one of the most charismatic players on the circuit and I am sure viewers will enjoy Stuart's regular appearances on the Sky Poker TV channel."
As an avid reader of Rutter's strategy articles in the World Poker Tour Magazine, we at UK PokerNews are looking forward to seeing him on our television sets in the coming weeks and months.
