The PartyPoker.com Premier League Mixed Game Championship kicks off this weekend and runs through to November 17 at the exclusive Playboy Club London in Mayfair. The $25,000 invitation-only event will see some of the biggest names in poker battle it out in the famous Premier League Poker format and the entire event will be filmed by Sky Sports to be show in the UK and then at a later date distributed internationally.
The 12 competitors have been split into two groups of six and they will take each other on at No Limit Hold'em, Pot Limit Hold'em and Pot Limit Omaha. The two groups are as follow.
Group A
Group B
I am sure you will agree it is quite an varied and exciting line-up and I for one will be looking forward to seeing Tony G and Luke Schwartz go heads-to-head in what will probably turn out to be the battle of the trash talk! The only name you will probably not recognise is Ben Carpenter but maybe his online alias of “MYBIGGUNS” will jog your memory. Carpenter is the number one ranked tournament player on PartyPoker and according to Jesse May, has a big mouth but the skills to back it up.
The players will play three heats and be awarded points depending on which position they finish in, with the top three players from each group making it through to the final table and the money places.
Final Table Payouts
| Position | Prize | ||
| 1st | $100,000 | ||
| 2nd | $65,000 | ||
| 3rd | $45,000 | ||
| 4th | $35,000 | ||
| 5th | $30,000 | ||
| 6th | $25,000 |
