PKR Oktoberfest Stars Today

The ever-popular online poker series known as Oktoberfest kicks off today on the only true 3D poker site, PKR. Running between Friday 21 October through to Sunday 30 October, this year's festival boasts no fewer than ten event and PKR expect to award $115,000 in prize money.

The first event is a $22 buy-in Six-Max No Limit Hold'em tournament with a guaranteed prizepool of $7,000, though the expected prizepool is thought to be double this amount. Saturday sees a $33 Deep Stack event where players start with 10,000 chips and are playing for a guaranteed prizes of at least $9,000.

Along with standard freezeout tournaments there is also a triple chance event, a turbo “Deep and Steep” event, a $5.25 Rebuy Rampage event and for those who prefer four hole cards instead of two there is a $16.50 Pot Limit Omaha one rebuy/one add-on tournament.

The series is rounded off with a $33 Main Event that carries a $15,000 guarantee and sees players start with 5,000 chips and a 15 minute clock. This particular event is going to have the final table broadcast to millions of poker fans in Europe on The Poker Channel, on youtube.com and on PKR.TV.
