The monthly Fox Poker Club Main Event took place over the weekend and attracted a crowd of 110 players, creating a prizepool of £33,000. At the end of two days of intense, quality poker action, it was Danny Blair who had won every chip in play and became October's champion.
Blair hails from North West London and is a professional poker player by trade, a professional poker player who has just added another £9,640 to his bankroll. This, his largest live tournament win to date, has come at the perfect time as he due to fly out to Las Vegas next week to try his luck in “Sin City.” His winnings would have been £11,040 but he struck a deal with his heads-up opponent, Bernardo Dias, so that Dias received £8,000 and Blair the aforementioned £9,640.
The Fox Poker Club runs over 20 tournaments each week and has so far paid out more than £2,000,000 from them. They are holding an eagerly anticipated festival between October 29-November 6 by the name of London Calling, which will feature HORSE, Omaha, Heads-up, Six-Max and a two-day £500+£40 Main Event. Thanks to their close affiliation with the 3D online poker site PKR, players can qualify for London Calling through online satellites that start at just $3.90. Plus if you download PKR through UK PokerNews and use bonus code UKPN800 you will be eligible for a 100% match up to $800 first deposit bonus.
