The first event of the 15K Carbon League has come to a close with "balon96 " taking down first place to top the Carbon League leader board after one event. Not only did he win the all-important league points, he also took the lion’s share of the prize pool which also featured a free $50 added thanks to PokerNews.
Along with the $76.40 first-prize, the win secured balon96 15 league points which gives them a great chance of finishing in the top 30 players who will qualify to take part in the $10,200 Big Final on January 8 at 1800 GMT.

Don’t forget that league points are up for grabs in two different weekly tournaments, which include a $3.00+$0.50 ($50 added) buy-in tournament every Tuesday along with a $5.00+$1.00 ($100 added) buy-in tournament every Friday, with the Friday events awarding double the usual amount of league points!
