Brit Bracelet Number 3: Darren Woods Wins Event #19

Darren Woods

Darren Woods makes it bracelet number three for Great Britain in Event #19: $2,500 Limit Hold'em / Six Handed. He defeated Kim Nguyen heads up for the bracelet and first prize of $213,431 in the early hours of the morning in Vegas.

The former accountant from Cleethorpes is now a Team 888poker pro. He may not be particularly well known yet in the UK, but he came very close to gold last year at the WSOP, with three deep finishes. He now joins Jake Cody and Matt Perrins in the growing list of 2011 UK bracelet winners.

Congratulations to Darren Woods, and go Team GB. Three bracelets in 19 events suggests that matching, or beating, last years haul of five bracelets is starting to look very likely indeed.

We are giving away 15 iPAD2s this Summer in an exclusive promotion on Betfair Poker called iPAD2 Summer Madness.
