Over the weekend APAT held the second event in season 5, sponsored by 888 Poker, with the UK Amateur Poker Championships held at the Aspers Casino, Newcastle. 156 runners played to win over £3,600 as part of a £11,700 prize pool.
WCOAP Champion Ben Young became the APAT UK Amateur Poker Champion 2011 winning £3,625 and a UKIPT Main Event seat. He also became the first two time APAT National Champion.

APAT now moves to the third National Championship of Season Five with the Welsh Amateur Poker Championship in May.
