A massive ‘link’ tournament has been scheduled for the UK & Ireland next month.
D Day Poker will attempt to get over 100 venues to simultaneously run a 8,000 chip, 20 minute clock €60 tournament on April 1st, which will then stop when the respective fields are reduced to 25%. All players remaining in the tournament will meet for Day 2 at Ireland's National Event Centre in Killarney on May 27th.
The tournament is open to clubs, pubs and even home games. They are estimating that 2,000 players could make the event.

Is this a genuine tourney?
The principle sounds good to me, but I don't fancy organizing a game and then depositing say £1200 into someone's bank account, then turn up in Ireland to find no game on. Also a bit suss that the game is set for a Friday night on April fools day. Can anyone clarify for me please?
