Liv Boeree to open Poker in the Park

One of the most talked about women in poker this year, Liv Boeree, will be cutting the ribbon at the Poker in the Park opening ceremony this year. EPT 2010 San Remo champion and poker spokes model Boeree will declare the worlds biggest poker fair open at 4pm on Thursday 2nd September 2010.

Poker in the Park will have London’s Leicester Square brimming with over 20 thousand poker pro’s, amateurs and newbies expected. There will be sit n go’s running around the clock plus lectures from big name pro’s, tuition tents, stalls selling the latest poker merchandise and much more.

Liv Boeree has accumulated herself over £1,930.00 in tournament winnings; she is also a model, TV presenter, astrophysics graduate and loves heavy metal music! For those of you who get there early there will be plenty of opportunity to take photographs of the opening of this poker extravaganza.

PKR Launches Version 2

PKR.com one of the world’s fastest growing poker sites has just released ‘V2.0’, its biggest update since launch four years ago. It will introduce a brand new user/player interface that will make it quicker, clearer and easier for players to use.

Leon Walters, PKR.com’s Chief Operating Officer said, “Version 2.0 of PKR has been in the pipeline for almost a year, and it’s just the start of what we have planned. Version 2.0 is all about making PKR easier and more enjoyable to play.”

Also in the update will be a new multi tabling interface which will allow players to play up to nine tables at once. On top of that is now a brand new game finder wizard which will make choosing or finding the games you want to play in faster, smoother and easier.
