The UK is celebrating WSOP Bracelet number four today as Mike Ellis overcame a short stack on the final day to ship Event #30: $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em. The former GUKPT Grand Final Champion overcame a field of 2394 other hopefuls to bag his first bracelet and $581, 851 following an epic heads up match with Christopher Gonzales.
England might have been woeful last night in South Africa but they are going from strength to strength in Vegas, as this is the 4th bracelet of the Series so far and we have only just hit the half way stage. That makes this officially the best ever WSOP for Great Britain and you would have to think it can only continue based on all the additional final tables we are making.
Congratulations to Mike Ellis and good luck to the Brits for the rest of the series, surely bracelet number 5 is just round the corner.
