The runaway stream train that is the Pokerstars Italian Poker Tour makes its 7th stop which is going to start in Venice for the second time, after the highly successful edition of July 2009. The whole tournament will take place at the Ca' Noghera Casino in the venetian hinterland, from 11th to 18th of January, with the first three days dedicated to satellites for the main event, which will start Thursday 14th and end Monday 18th .
This was the event won last July by Matt Perrins of Manchester, who beat 439 other players in the €2200 main event and took down a €200,000 first prize. Perrins is currently in 4th place in the overall IPT standings. With only three events (Venezia, Sanremo and Nova Gorica) still to be played before the end of the tour, this January round could be decisive to ratify the first Pokertstars.it IPT champion! The sponsor is going to say the special prize for the winner of the title, who will be announced during the forthcoming European Poker Tour in Sanremo (15th – 21st of April); but do not forget that every single winner of an IPT stage receives a free buy in (€ 5.300 value) right for the Sanremo EPT. So the IPT is still plenty of opportunities for all serious players!
This is the complete schedule:
11/12/13 January main event satellites buy in € 230+20 start at 15.00 and at 20.00
