You still have one last chance to qualify for PartyPokers Premier League IV, this weekend there will be three country specific qualifiers and luckily one of them is for the UK. The satellites will take place this Sunday 17th January with a $480 buy-in the UK qualifier will be at 14.25 ET (19.25 GMT). There are also mini satellites for the main $480 qualifier from as little as $2.
A PartyPoker.com spokesman said: “The three country specific qualifiers can be found by clicking on the specials tab in the lobby. We encourage players to check them out as they offer great value. The potential rewards for qualifying for the play-offs in Vegas are truly enormous with a $100,000 buy-in to the added money Main Event and a $100,000 Team Party contract up for grabs!”
This year PartyPoker.com have been running qualifiers to find 16 players, all 16 players will be flown to Las Vegas where they will play a short series of play-off sit & go’s. The winner of these play-offs will win a $100,000 buy in for the main Premier League event. Both the play-offs and the main event will be filmed for TV across the world. PartyPoker will also be choosing one of the 16 qualifiers to receive a $100,000 Team Party contract to be a sponsored player.
Roland de Wolfe is the latest player to join the Premier League line up. In 2009 de Wolfe became the second player in history to gain the ‘triple crown’ when he won a WSOP bracelet to add to his WPT and EPT wins. Many of you will remember Roland’s success in the II and III Premier Leagues, the unforgettable heads up match against Eddy Scharf for a place at the final table in II which he won and then went on to become runner up to Andy Black in the final winning $125,000. In Premier League III he made the final table again, finishing 5th.
De Wolfe said: “The Premier League to me is one of the best events in poker and I cannot wait for it to get underway. I have made the final table in the last two events – now is the time to take it down. Whatever happens, I’m going to do my best and am certainly not afraid to put on a show.”
He will be joining defending champion JC Tran, Yevgeniy Timoshenko and Phil Hellmuth for the 12 player $100,000 buy-in main event and also the newest member of ‘Team Party’ Kara Scott who will be presenting all the action from the felt.
