Its Christmas and it’s time to put down poker, take a break from the grind, spend time with friends and family and relax for a while.

So it will be pretty fair to say you will be itching to get a game in by Boxing Day. Thankfully there is plenty of live poker action taking place from Boxing Day onwards for you to sink your teeth into; here is our pick of some of the best:

Rendezvous Casino, Brighton
There is a Boxing Day special from 4.00pm which will be a £100+£10 No Limit Hold’em Freezeout for this popular venue in Brighton.

Edinburgh Circus Casino
The Circus Christmas Cracker looks to be a very generous affair with their £100+£10 No limit one rebuy or addon event on the 27th of December. You start with 10,000 chips, with an additional 15,000 for your rebuy plus an early bird bonus of 2,000 chips.

Equal Chance Club, London
Over at the Equal Chance Club there is a Boxing Day special at 8pm with £8,000 guaranteed. It’s a £100 double chance buy-in with a £50 optional add-on with 10,000 chips for both buy-ins.

APAT Team Championship, G Casino, Manchester
Like all APAT events, you will have had to register way in advance for this one. The £50 APAT Team Championship takes place between the 27th and 28th and also includes the annual awards night for all the big movers and shakers in 2009.

Dusk Till Dawn, 20Twenty, Nottingham

No doubt going to be the biggest event of the festive period, its the third outing of the Dusk Till Dawn 20Twenty event. A £100+12 event on the 27th with a £20,000 guarantee which will be very tempting for any overlay hunters out there as the Xmas period could affect numbers.
