Jude Ainsworth Amongst EPT Prague Chipleaders, Poker Million Betting Odds

EPT Prague Update

The day 1s are in the bag over in Prague for the latest leg of the Pokerstars European Poker Tour and plenty of UK and Ireland players are still in the hunt. 211 remain from a starting field of 586, creating a €2,842,100 prize pool.

Amongst the chip leaders is Irish poker sensation Jude Ainsworth who is 5th in chips with 160,300. The Irish Poker Championships and Pokerstars SCOOP Main event champion is making his first appearance as a Team PokerStars Pro this week, ahead of the first leg of the UIKPT next week.

Lots of other big UK names remain, include bracelet winners John Kabbaj and JP Kelly, recent GUKPT champion Priyan De Mel and UK poker legend Mel Judah.

Poker Million Betting Odds

The 2009 Poker Million Final is live on Friday and it will certainly be one of the TV poker moments of the year. With the trash talking Luke Schwartz and WSOP Main Event Finalist James Akenhead amongst the players at the final table, it will certainly be one to watch. It will also be one to punt on, as BlueSquare have put up betting odds for those of you watching it at home. Understandably the chip leader and in form TV player Luke Schwartz is the favourite at 2/1 with James Akenhead just behind him at 9/4. The Full Tilt online qualifier Peter Vasiliou is the underdog at 10/1 but might be worth a bet because of the fast structure which could change things very quickly.

There are also a number of other markets, including first man out. This could actually be another one worth punting on the underdogs of the category, with Akenhead (9/1) and Schwartz (10/1) both no doubt going for the win and won't be afraid to take some risks to do it.

Outright Betting Odds

Luke Schwartz (397K) 2/1

James Akenhead (338K) 9/4

Taylor Caby (202K) 5/1

Dag Martin Mikkelsen (160K) 6/1

Juha Helppi (149K) 7/1

Peter Vasiliou (154K) 10/1
