David Bryan Wins Sky Poker Tour Manchester
The second season of the Sky Poker Tour kicked off in Manchester at the G Casino over the weekend and the event picked up where it left off last time. I was fortunate enough to be at this event and once again it was the fun packed and friendly atmosphere that makes this tour unique. Everyone got a round of applause when they bust out and it was the perfect way for recreational players to dip their toes in the waters of live play.
Once again Tony 'Tikay' Kendall was on the microphone commentating on the action from start to finish, which included a number of special guests including snooker legends Dennis Taylor and Steven Maguire, as well as England and Arsenal legend Kenny Sansom. Also in attendance were Sky Poker presenters Ed Giddens and Richard Orford.
The event was eventually won by David 'David36' Bryan, who defeated 149 other players including his heads up opponent Daniel Brown, on his way to the first prize of £4,000. He also wins his seat in the Grand Final at DTD next year.
The next leg of the tour is at the Aspers Casino in Newcastle on the 9th of January 2010. You can't buy in direct and the only way to get in on the action is to qualify exclusively on http://uk.pokernews.com/sky-poker/">Sky Poker.
Alex Bowler Wins DTD Deepstack

Alex defeated top female player India Storrar heads up and both of them are in fine form at the moment.
