Big Night for the London Poker Circuit
Good news now for the London Poker Circuit who are celebrating a successful relaunch. Their £50 plus one rebuy and one addon event had a total of 81 players which created a £9250 prize pool, smashing their original guarantee. In the end, because the tournament has such a generous structure, it ended in a 13 way chop to ensure an early night. They have another event this Friday at the Sportsman where they are going for 100 runners and will have a sliding blind scale, starting with 40 minute blinds, then going down to 25 and 20 minutes as the tournament reaches the business end. The feedback from all the players was very good as always and it might just be that the London Poker Circuit is finally finding its feet on the UK circuit.
Pokerstars Sponsor British RFU
To demonstrate just how big a brand Pokerstars are becoming, they have just been unveiled as a sponsor of the British Rugby Football Union (RFU). They join huge brands such as Nike, O2, Land Rover and Emirates, who are also lead sponsors of the RFU.
Julie Tasker of Pokerstars commented ""As a brand we are excited to be involved with the RFU. This two-year sponsorship deal will continue to associate the PokerStars brand to premier sporting events and talent, whilst also enabling rugby fans to interact with the world's premier online poker room in live environments."
