
Paddypowerpoker announces Irish Winter Festival Ticket-Only satellites
Earlier this year the Paddy Power Poker Ticket Only Satellites to the Irish Open proved a big hit with those of us who know how to save a bob or two on travel, so they are doing it again for the Irish Winter Festival. Starting August 13th at 8pm, $200+$15 super satellites will award a seat to the main event for every $2,300 in the prize pool.Feeder satellites will run daily from Monday, August 10th and buy-ins start from $2.20.
The Irish Winter Festival Main Event takes place on Saturday the 24th of October at the Citywest Hotel in Dublin.

Ladbrokes Poker tour - next stop Killarney
More Irish poker news now and in the same month as the Irish Winter Festival, there is also the BoylePoker IPO and the Ladbrokes Killarney main event. Ladbrokes are getting very excited about the latter and 800 players are expected for the €550 main event which has a €250,000 guarantee.
Amongst the big names expected at the Gleneagle Hotel on the 1st of October are Marty Smyth, Steve Davis, Ken Doherty and Jon Kalmar. The €950 Killarney package comprises three nights bed and breakfast at the Gleaneagle Hotel plus the Main event Buy-In. The three day long festival will also include two side events a two day €270 + €30 tournament and a one day €150 +€20 tournament.
