Boatman and Ashby make Aussie Millions Final
Two of the UK's finest players have reached the promised land of the Aussie Millions Final Table. Full Tilt Poker Pros Barny Boatman and Richard 'Chufty' Ashby are both still in the hunt at the 8 player final table ready to duke it out for the AUS$2,000,000 first prize. Play will resume tomorrow and they will both have some ground to make up as they are the two short stacks at the table, but both men have seen their stacks swing greatly in both directions in this event so they are by no means out of the hunt yet.
Elsewhere GUKPT Grand Final Winner Paul 'Pab' Foltyn is deep in the $2,200 six max event with 37 players remaining.

Devilfish Down but Not Out
That fast moving Devilfish Express may have taken a few knocks but it is still moving on its way to the Pokerstars.net EPT Deauville Final Table. The in-form Hull man started day 2 as the mammoth chip leader but took some knocks along the way to allow some players to over take him. He is currently 16th out of 47 in the chip rankings, which still makes him one of the danger men in the field by our reckoning, and has already made the money which means whatever happens he must be one of the most in form players this month and will already be a serious contended in the European Rankings. Today he will have to work hard to make his 120,000 chips come close to the 517,500 stack of overall leader Moritz Kranich of Germany.
iPoker up 73% in 2008
The iPoker network, who host top poker skins including Poker770, Titan Poker and Mansion Poker have released their yearend revenue for 2008. In quarter four they were up 43% on the same period in 2007 to €8.6 million. The total revenue for 2008 was €30.1 million, which is up 73% on the €17.4 million at the end of 2007.
Its been an amazing 12 months for the iPoker network, who have skyrocketed up the online poker traffic rankings and last year leapfrogged Party Poker for the 3rd spot, just behind Pokerstars and Full Tilt. 2009 could well be an even bigger year for iPoker, as they will see the fruits of acquiring William Hill, Mansion Poker and Sun Poker from other networks towards the end of 2008.
