Canadian poker player, Ryan Hurst has emerged victorious in bwin's PokerIsland tournament taking home the title and $100,000 in sponsorships to all major events across 2009.
"The tournament was nerve-wracking and very exciting… All the participants in the final round played incredibly well and it wasn't easy," says Hurst of the four hour final that was filmed and broadcast live on bwin last Tuesday, November 4.
However, playing poker was not the only item on Hurst's agenda at PokerIsland. His entry meant he was housed in a luxurious villa on the sun-drenched shores of Ibiza, received fully catered for service throughout his stay and had access
to some great activities including cruises, quad bike tours, sailing, water skiing, surfing, golfing and lots of parties. One of the highlights included a private performance from renowned pop group, The Pussycat Dolls.
Qualifiers and freerolls to PokerIsland 2009 are already underway with next year's promotion set to be even bigger and better – head to bwin Poker for further information, including a fantastic first deposit bonus of $100 for PokerNews players.
