Earlier this year, Full Tilt Poker hosted the biggest ever buy-in online tournament in the form of the $25,000 heads up tournament won by David Singer, which attracted even more railbirds than usual.
Now the truly big railbird game, PLO, is getting its turn in the high stakes tournament format, as Full Tilt Poker will be putting on a $25,000 entry PLO heads up tournament. This could be a real blink and you'll miss it affair as for some of the potential match ups and we expect to see the likes of Phil Ivey, Patrick Antonius, Thomas Dwan, Gus Hansen and Brian Townsend making an appearance. Who knows, we might also see the two top online PLO players in the UK, Richard Ashby and Ben Grundy showing the yanks how it's done too.
The tournament starts on Saturday September 6th and concludes the next day. This will also be the same day as the $10,300 high roller event in the Pokerstars WCOOP, so we can expect to see a lot of money moving around the two biggest poker rooms in the world during the first weekend in September.
