Mini-SOP Series at Bodog Poker

Can't quite make it to the WSOP this year but don't want to miss out on all the tournament action over the summer? Then Bodog Poker is just the place for you to be over the next 7 weeks. Starting on May 30, Bodog Poker will kick off a Mini-SOP online tournament series during which they will mirror all 25 WSOP Hold'em Events, culminating in a final event on July 10 where players can win the first 3 seats for the 2009 WSOP Main Event. All 25 Mini-SOP tournaments will have buy-ins of only 1% of the actual WSOP buy-ins, so everyone can experience the feeling of playing a WSOP event (albeit in front of your computer in your bedroom). Players can participate in all 25 events for a total of just $821.

Starting off the Mini-SOP Series is the $100+$9 Pot-Limit Hold'em event on May 30, which is the same day that the WSOP kicks off with the $10,000 World Championship Pot-Limit Hold'em tournament. During the Series, players cannot only win cash payouts, but also collect points for the Mini-SOP Tournament Leader Board. By the end of the Series, the top 4 players on the leader board will automatically qualify for the final event on July 10. The remaining 96 of the top 100 TLB players will have the chance secure 1 of 18 spots in a semifinal qualifier, played two days before the final event. An additional 5 seats will be awarded to players picked randomly from those participating in at least 3 Mini-SOP events. The top 3 finishers of this final event will all receive a $12,000 prize package which includes a seat for the 2009 WSOP Main Event, and places 4 through 9 will be awarded with 109 Bodog tournament dollars.
