The Paddy Power Poker sponsored Irish Poker Open is set to host an array of stars from the world of poker. Mike Sexton is heading to Dublin to take his seat in the Easter event. Many other big names are on their way too.

Mike Sexton, host of the World Poker Tour television series and a World Series of Poker bracelet winner, will take his seat alongside a host of other stars in Dublin this April. Academy Award nominated actress Jennifer Tilly and her Dublin-born partner Phil Laak are also expected to test their skills in this €2,000,000 guaranteed event.

Laak enthused, "The Irish Open, wow. Very cool. Very cool indeed. Fully Genius sir. Fully genius."

Esfandiari, known as 'The Magician', is also playing the main event and he will be joined by fellow countrymen Chad Brown (TV presenter and actor) and World Poker Association head Jesse Jones.

These six players have won over $10,000,000 in poker tournaments during their careers. It's not just the big American names heading to Dublin, however.

Europe will also be very well represented as you might expect. The Devilfish will be in attendance as will Roland de Wolfe. Also confirmed to play are:

Donnacha O'Dea
Padraig Parkinson
Andy Black
Roy 'the Boy' Brindley
'Mad' Marty Wilson
Dave Colclough
Lee Nelson
Jan Molby
Michael Greco
Barny Boatman
Scott Gray
Ivo Donev
Rolf Slotboom
Julian Gardner

The Irish Poker Open looks like being a great spectacle. Over 700 players have already registered. If you can't play but want to follow the event then stay tuned to UK Poker News. We will have LIVE coverage of all the action, from start to finish, in our Live Reporting pages.
