The famous PartyPoker.com Million returns next year and is due to be held in the Mediterranean from May 3rd to the 10th 2008. Online qualifiers continue to take place at PartyPoker.com, where you can win your seat in this prestigious event for as little as $1!

The eight day PartyPoker.com Million VI cruise will sail from Venice in Italy, stopping in Bari, Olympia/Katakolon in Greece, Izmir and Istanbul in Turkey and Dubrovnik in Croatia before returning to Venice. The ship, called the MSC Poesia, is a state of the art cruise liner packed with luxury facilities. On board there are restaurants, bars, tennis courts, mini golf, pools, spas, discos, a cinema, shopping and more! Of course the key attraction for poker players will be the massive card room, which will be open 24 hours.

Up for grabs is the PartyPoker.com Million VI package, which is worth a massive $12,000. This includes the $8,200 buy-in for the No Limit Texas Hold'em Main Event, $2,700 for accommodation on board the cruise ship and a very generous $1,100 spending money. All the poker action will be filmed for television broadcast worldwide.

Previous well known winners of the PartyPoker Million include Kathy Liebert, Howard Lederer, Erick Lindgren, Michael Gracz and Mike Schneider. If we include other big names making the Poker Million final table in recent years, you can add Phil Hellmuth, Chris Ferguson, Mel Judah, Chip Jett, Daniel Negreanu, Steve Zolotow, Scotty Nguyen, Barry Greenstein, John Juanda, and Paul Darden to the list of superstars who have attended this flagship event .The first PartyPoker.com Million was seen as a huge breakthrough for poker, being the first Hold'em tournament to offer a $1,000,000 first prize, the first tournament to combine direct buy-ins with online qualifiers and the first to hold its finals on a cruise liner. The result was ground breaking too, with Kathy Liebert's victory marking the first major tournament win by a female player.

"The PartyPoker.com Million has a lot of history and it is great to welcome it back in 2008," said a PartyPoker.com spokesman. "Securing a package for the original poker cruise would be a great way to round off 2007."

The spokesman went on to give more detail about the nature of the 2008 tournament, saying "With the shift to a European route we decided to make it no limit rather than limit but the look and feel of the tournament will be the same. Many of the old faces will be back. Mike Sexton will be a host, Matt Savage and Dave Lamb are tournament directors and the highly respected Card Player Cruises team that includes Linda Johnson, Mark Tenner and Jan Fisher will be onboard running the poker room."

Online qualifiers start from as little as $1 with the main weekly $600 + $40 on a Saturday offering a $12,000 package for every twenty players taking part and a guarantee that three packages will be won. There are a wide range of different entry levels to suit every bankroll, including $3 rebuys, $8 turbo satellites and a daily speed qualifier at $64+$6 for those with slightly deeper pockets. For added excitement, PartyBets.com will offer online betting on the poker action on board the ship nearer the time.
