ECOOP Event #6 - NLHE 6 Handed, $150k Guaranteed

The 6th Event at the European Championship of Online Poker (ECOOP) took place on Thursday at Titan Poker. It was a 6 handed event that gave the short handed specialists their chance to shine. The tournament prizepool ended up being $187,400, which was well in excess of the $150k guaranteed figure. The 937 players that competed in the $200 + $15 event battled it out for over 8 hrs, before "Guggovic" walked away with the $41,228 first place payout and an ECOOP Bracelet.

"Pepper007" was dealt a monster with on the SB, whilst "Guggovic" had . "Guggovic" called for 8,000 pre-flop and then "Pepper007" raised to 20,000. "Guggovic" made the call and the flop came . With the flush draw on the board "Pepper007" checked, only for "Guggovic" to bet 24,000 which was called. The turn was a disaster for "Pepper007" when the hit the board. Again "Pepper007" slow played when he checked the turn, "Guggovic" was having none of that and bet 48,000. "Pepper007" then raised to 96,000 and was called by "Guggovic". The on the turn didn't help "Pepper007" and when he bet 48,000, "Guggovic" pushed all-in and "Pepper007" made the call for his final 240,000.

The next player heading for the rail was "luckydaxy", who was dealt . "Vodacall" raised to 20,000 preflop with and was called by "luckydaxy" on the BB. Both players checked a flop of , which had given "luckydaxy" a flush draw. The turn was a black and "luckydaxy" bet out 22,000 only to be raised to 44,000 by "vodacall" with an Ace high. "luckydaxy" called and then pushed all-in for 117,634 on a river. "vodacall" made the call with his pair of 9s and "luckydaxy" was out in 5th position.

The remaining four players battled for nearly 30 minutes before "Guggovic" sent another opponent out of the event. "euro200champ" was the first to act and raised to 36,000 UTG with . He was called by "Guggovic" with and "Vodacall" with . The flop was an absolute disaster for "euro200champ" when it landed , giving "Guggovic" broadway. "Guggovic" checked the flop and "euro200champ" bet out for 60,000. "Guggovic" made it 144,000 and "euro200champ" made the call. The turn was the and "Guggovic" pushed all-in. "euro200champ" made the call and needed a club to survive, but the river was the and he was out in 4th place.

"Vodacall" was the next player eliminated when all the chips went in on a flop of in a battle of the binds with "Nikopol2". "Vodacall" was holding , but "Nikopol2" had a monster with . The turn was the and it was all over for "Vodacall".

The heads-up battle lasted for 13 minutes, before "Guggovic" won the event. The final hand saw "Guggovic" raise to 32,000 with and "Nickopol2" made the call with . The flop came giving "Nickopol2" a flush draw. He bet 40,000 and "Guggovic" made the call. When the turn came the all the chips went in. "Nickopol2" needed a spade for the tournament to continue, but when the came no the river the tournament was over.
