Dusk Till Dawn (DTD) have announced their opening details following their successful license hearing last week. We gave you the breaking news on Friday that DTD overcame objections from three casino chains in Nottingham to the opening of the UKs first legal poker club. Now we can tell you that their doors will open first on Thursday 29th of November.
The schedule is yet to be announced, however all tournaments currently will be freeze outs, no rebuys. A special £500 tournament is scheduled for Saturday 1st of December with online satellites on the clubs online card room. Initially the club will be open between Thursday and Sundays, from 6pm to 4am. These opening times will gradually increase as more staff are recruited and trained, with an additional day being added every three months based on current projections.
With the high profile court case finally behind them, Rob Yong tell us the focus is now on the DTD staff "We are now completely focused on recruiting and training good quality people to work at the club and will open 7 days a week once we have these people in place. We want to ensure that every single player who visits the club receives the highest level of service from the minute they walk in to the minute they leave".
The inaugural £500 freeze out does clash with the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour Grand Final in London. However, there is no doubt that a full capacity is expected, with thousands of pre-registered members already and almost every UK poker forum buzzing with excitement.
For those of you planning the trip down, the club can be found at:
