PokerProForAYear Update – Series 3 Final Looming Large

The final rounds of PokerProForAYear Series 3 have been played and competition was once again fierce.

Series 3 provided excellent value to all players, as every $10+$1 round had a guaranteed $500 prizepool. All first place winners walked away with $250 and 500 all-important League Points. Series 3 Round 7 went to the Australian CroCop49, who edged out sfanants from Estonia and fellow Aussie cerunch to take top honours.

Apart from the Series 3 Final, players also had their eyes on the Series 3 $12,000 WSOP Global Freeroll. The prize package included entry to the World Series Main Event, valued at $10,000 and $2000 for travel and accommodation. On top of all that, there were 12,000 League points awarded to the winner, which made this tournament even more enticing to players. 2000 League Points were also awarded to each participant who participated in the freeroll.

A relatively small field of 38 starters battled it out for the $12,000 package. The Australian CroCop49, fresh from his Round 7 victory, put in a valiant effort, finishing in an admirable 8th place. Big hitters in the PokerProForAYear League such as Estonian kassike and Australian GTIguy79 finished in second and third place respectively. First place (and bragging rights) went to the Italian maxwil, who will be jetting off to Las Vegas to take part in this year's World Series Main Event, courtesy of Pacific Poker and PokerProForAYear.

After the dust had settled, players composed themselves and sat down for the final $10+$1 $500 Guaranteed Tournament – Series 3 Round 9. After all the cards had been played, gokuz from Italy came out on top, with tipnip from the UK and Estonian ahtius76 coming in second and third place respectively. So, that's that.
