Stanley's UK Ladies Open Poker Championship Preview

Star City Casino in Birmingham are set to play host for the Inaugural UK Ladies Open Poker Championship. The two day No Limit Hold 'Em event with take place on September 2nd and 3rd this year.

Our good friends at A World Of Poker are promoting the event. They will ensure that the biggest Ladies Event outside the WSOP in Las Vegas will be a big success. Malcolm "The Rock" Harwood of A World of Poker.com has been appointed Tournament Co-ordinator. He will be working closely with the Team at Star City to create a player friendly structure.

Stanley Casinos will be running live satellites for this £250+£25 buy-in at selected venues throughout the country. A full list of

these will be available soon. A World of Poker will be running on-line qualifiers on a number of Internet poker rooms alongside a number of sponsored televised satellites over the coming months. The main event will be televised by A World of Poker.TV.

Star City, one of the largest casinos in the UK, has the capacity to accommodate 700 poker players. This amount of seating space should mean any lady wanting to take part, can take part!
