888 Poker Sponsor Sevilla FC

888 Poker have been quick to follow on the heels of rivals Mansion Poker by sponsoring a top football team. Sevilla FC, the current UEFA Cup holders, now have the famous 888.com logo blazened across their shirts.

With Middlesbrough from the UK and Toulouse from France already providing exposure for 888 in their respective football leagues, the deal with Sevilla shows 888's ambitions in Europe.

In a statement from 888.com, the company said, "Sevilla Football Club is a very exciting prospect. The club, which competes in the Spanish first division, has been on excellent form of late. They finished the 2005/6 season in style, coming 5th in the league and beating our own Middlesbrough Football Club in the final to lift the UEFA Cup. The team features an array of playing talent, including such international stars as Kanoute, Chevanton, Luis Fabiano and Poulsen, under the leadership of the seasoned Juande Ramos. This year, we are confident the team will continue its progress, as it strives to secure Champions League qualification."

Not only will the 888 logo be appearing on Sevilla's shirt, their home ground, the Sanchez-Pizjuan stadium, will display fixed and digital signage. Also, advertisements will feature on their official website and numerous other spaces.

The statement concluded, "We are very excited about this latest sponsorship and look forward to a successful relationship between 888.com and Sevilla Football Club over the coming seasons.
