Betfair's Asian Poker Tour Challenge

Betfair have today launched their new "Team Rake Challenge" promotion. New players can also expect a deposit bonus for a limited period and the chance to join the Betfair Asian Poker Tour.

Teams can enter the challenge any time during the qualification period by submitting the poker alias and e-mails address of their team members to teamrake@betfair.com. The challenge gives Betfair Poker players and their friends the chance to "club together" and earn a trip to Singapore on the Betfair Asian Poker Tour! Teams between 3 and 10 players can participate and teams must clearly identify the team captain.

Betfair are giving away one $3,000 package for every £10,000 in (combined) rake players generate. Take a look at the table below to see what your teams play will earn for you:

10K - 1 x Travel package
19K - 1 x Main event package
20K - 1 x Main event package or 2 x Travel packages
30K - 1 x Main event package & 1 x Travel package or 3 x Travel packages
38K - 2 x Main event packages or 1 Main event packages & 2 x Travel packages or 3 Travel packages
40K - 2 x Main event packages or 4 x Travel packages
50K - 2 x Main event packages & 1 x Travel package or 5 x Travel packages

Here are the rules of this promotion:

- Teams may consist of a minimum of 3 players and a maximum of 10 players.
- A team captain must be nominated and all players must give their consent to participate.
- The team captain must submit the poker alias and e-mail address of each player at teamrake@betfair.com
- The qualification period is from 24th July to 21st October 2006.
- Teams can register before or during the qualification period.
- Players can be added during the qualification period up to a total number of 10 players.
- Allocation of any packages won is at the team captain’s discretion.
- Private tournaments can be arranged for teams of 6 or more to decide the allocation of any packages won.
- $5,000 in cash will be awarded to the team who generates the most rake during the promotion.
- Team Rake leaderboards will be available on Betfair Poker so check in regularly to see how your team is doing.
- Rake will contribute to the promotion from the date that the email is submitted.
