Betfair Sweeten The Pot at Cork Classic

Betfair Poker are adding €10,000 to the main event prize pool at the Irish Classic Poker Festival in Cork. With a large field and now an even larger prizepool there is plenty of value on offer for players here.

Cork’s Macau Casino is hosting the festival. They have teamed up with Betfair Poker to provide the venue and sponsorship for the tournament. 170 players are expected for this €1000 buy-in event, couple this with the €10,000 added by Betfair, an attractive €180,000 prizepool is potentially on offer.

The main event, which will be recorded for television, runs for two days. The festival will also include freeze-out tournaments and cash games of Omaha and Texas Hold’em. So, there is plenty on offer for every type of poker player. The festival will also include a freeroll tournament to the main event for lady players.

During the festival the final of the Betfair Poker Pub Challenge will take place. This tournament is the final of a series of pub-based qualifiers that are taking place all over Cork. For those who failed to qualify at the pub, it is possible to buy-in directly to this tournament for €270.

The festival runs from August 16th to August 20th.
