Event 46 - $5,000 No Limit Hold'em Six-handed
Day 3 completed

Congratulations to Joe Commisso, Champion of Event No. 46 ($911,855)

After a wild first three hours which saw four of our six players eliminated within 69 hands, Joe Commisso and Richard Lyndaker then commenced a nearly six-hour long heads up battle, encompassing 209 hands total.

Commisso enjoyed a 2-to-1 chip advantage when heads up play began, and he maintained his lead for the first half of the pair's epic conflict. They traded the lead back and forth a few times, then after 180 hands and five hours of play both players, apparently fatigued, began shoving all in more and more often.

While Lyndaker had to make survive many all ins, it was Commisso who needed to hit his open-ended straight draw on Hand No. 276. Three hands later, it was over, and Joe Commisso wins the largest cash prize to date in this year's WSOP -- a cool $911,855.

Congratulations to Joe Commisso, the $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em Short-Handed champ! And thanks for following the coverage.

Hand #278: Joe Commisso Wins Event #46; Richard Lyndaker Eliminated in 2nd Place ($570,551)

Richard Lyndaker - 2nd Place
Richard Lyndaker - 2nd Place
Richard Lyndaker moved all in from the button for a little over 1.8 million. Joe Commisso called with {A-Diamonds} {Q-Spades}. Lyndaker held {9-Spades} {7-Hearts}.

Would the best hand hold up this time? Would we have a champion finally?

The flop came down {Q-Hearts} {4-Spades} {10-Spades} and Commisso's rail erupted. Commisso pumped his fist, but needed to sweat the final two cards.

The turn ended it when the {10-Hearts} hit the board. The river was a meaningless {7-Clubs} and Joe Commisso would be our champion.

It was a marathon battle and Lyndaker would take home just over $570,000 for his efforts.
