End of Day 1
Day 1 has come to an end. We began with 731 runners in Event #41, $1,500 Mixed Hold'em, and are down to 98 remaining in the field. We're almost to the money and tomorrow play will go down until we have reached the final table.
Lou Esposito, Michael Guzzardi, Rolf Slotboom, Berry Johnston, Jan von Halle, and the Le brothers, Allen and Nam, are all left remaining in the field. Play will resume tomorrow at 3:00 PM local time over in the Brasilia Room here at the Rio. See you all then. -

It Gives to You with One Hand the Takes Away with the Other
Ari Engel was very short stacked and moved all-in with ace-ten. He found a caller with ace-queen but managed to spike his three outer and double up.
The very next hand he found ace-ten and still being very short stacked he moved all in again. This time he was in a better spot as his caller had eight-nine. An eight on the flop changed all that though and Engel was busted at the death of play. -
