Day 1 Concludes
That brings an end to our coverage of Day 1 of Event 29 - $3,000 No Limit Holdem. We saw 716 players enter today which was down a little on last year's number and perhaps a little below expectation. However the action was fast and furious as the field was dwindled down to only 81 by the conclusion of play.
We'll have some anxious moments for a few players tomorrow afternoon as we approach the money bubble.
Those who will sleep easy include Alex Zaslavsky, Ryan Young, Alex Melnikow, Matt Vengrin and John 'Razor' Phan who ended the day with the healthy stacks in the field.
We'll be back tomorrow at 2 p.m. as we battle down to a final table. We hope you will join us again then! -

The Dance of the Poker Player Has Begun
There is about 30 minutes left for this Day 1, and the dance of the poker player has begun. For those of you unfamiliar with this dance, around this time of night, players will get out of their seats and start walking around and checking out the action. They will also start talking to other players, pacing, and doing whatever they can to stay awake. This dance tends to spread throughout the room. It is similar to the bubble dance, but this one is much more random.
