Karina Jett - One Of The Chip LeadersDay One Is In The Books
At just after 1am local time, we have reached the end of Day One in the APT opening event for 2008 in Manila. Day 1A saw some fast paced poker with 125 players starting the day and only 32 finishing.
It was a mixed day for the fancied runners but for the most part the cream rose to the top. Karina Jett will finish the day close to the chip leader at around 90,000 chips and Huck Seed is ready to pounce at around the 50,000 mark. Quin Do played some super poker and should have really been the chip leader if his AA wasn’t cracked by JJ. He still ended the day with around 50,000.
The official chip counts have yet to be tallied, but as soon as they become available will be posted. It has certainly been a well run day and the APT must be thrilled to have had such a positive start. Day 1B will get more starters than Day 1A and the running total on numbers should exceed 300.
So stay tuned with all of us at PokerNews. We'll see you tomorrow at 2pm, local time, for Day1B! -
