Summary

Cool Hand Poker is part of the well established poker network Microgaming Network, which is based out of Isle of Man, a privately owned company that's been within the industry for over a decade. Microgamings progressive jackpot is one the leading in the industry and has paid out more than $250m since its inception.

CoolHandPoker.com is owned and operated by Tower Rock Ltd t/a Belle Rock Entertainment, a wholly owned subsidiary of Carmen Media Group Ltd. Tower Rock Ltd is a company incorporated and registered in Gibraltar and based at Suite 651, Europort, Gibraltar.

Interface User/Friendliness

Cool Hand Poker offers three different lobbies in it's poker software, wherein each and every one is clean and easy to understand. Navigation is very simple, with tabs and filters available to quickly find the levels that each player might be looking for. The game play itself is smooth and attractive, offering little in the way of slow down; instead it moves quickly and keeps players interested. A numbers of daily tournaments with guaranteed prize pools are on offer attracting the attention of many players.

Traffic

At the time when this review was written the network had over 8500 players connected with 4214 seated. The progressive jackpot was at this point $180 000 which on it's own draws a lot of players. All the bad beat tables were full with up to 6 players waiting to gain access to these $0.50/$1 No Limit tables. Cool Hand poker is a fairly new poker room and as such these games on offer are limited to only a few with primary focus towards Hold em and Fixed/No Limit. Recently we saw Omaha being added and more games are due to be added.

Support Cashier

Cool Hand support can be reached either through a contact form in the poker software or through 24/7 live-support on the website. The support is very helpful, gives you detailed answers and reps are very eager to make sure everyone is a happy customer.

Software and Extra Features

At Cool Hand Poker you have the option to choose from three different lobbies once you start the poker software. Either pick "quick play", "advanced view" or "tree view" by pressing the menu button in the lobby. The software, which is delivered by Microgaming, is of top quality which shows during your gaming experience at Cool Hand Poker. They offer numerous functions that improve your gaming experience as well as speed things up, for those who enjoy a fast paced poker game.
Handy functions
  • Player notes – A must for a poker player. Keep track of the sharks and the fishes with this handy function. This function can make you a lot of money if used correctly

  • Statistics – Check statistics with this function. See how often you fold, how often you go to showdown, raise or re-raise. Keep track of your stats to improve you gaming.

  • Hand history – With this function you can go back and review how you played different hands, how you perhaps should have played it differently and as such improve upon your game even more.

  • Buddy list – Keep track of your friends or fishes with this function. Add them to your buddy list and you will be able to see if they are playing and if so, at which table.

  • Rabbit cam – Select to show the next card you would have received, if the hand ends after three or four cards are on the table.

  • Fold and show – Want to confuse your opponent, show them that your able to lay down big hands, then this function can come in handy. Might intimidate opponents further down the line.

  • Keep folded cards visible – Want to know what you would have hit if you hadn´t folded? With this function you can. Even if you folded your hand you will still be able to see what cards you discarded.

  • Four color deck – Can't keep the cards apart? Having difficulty separating diamonds from hearts, clubs from spades? Use this function and you will have four colors instead of two, making it a lot easier to tell them apart.

  • Tournament reminder – Let the software remind you when your tournament is about to start. With this function a sound will be played just before the tournament you registered in is about to start. This way you won´t miss out on any tournaments, even if you are not at the computer, you will still hear the warning, if you have the sound active.
